This room can hold up to 40 guests seated or 70 standing. Please note that there is no disabled access to this room.

There is no hire cost to use this area, we just ask that you meet a minimum spend. This can be confirmed upon enquiry.

The location itself is the last remaining building of Taunton Priory, which was founded in approximately 1120 and dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539.

Following the receipt of a major legacy in 2010 the Grade II listed building has been completely renovated into a spectacular event facility as well as working museum.

This flexible suite is the hotels most popular.

A large Suite which will easily sub divide into 2 separate sound proofed rooms- The Blackdown is fully accessible, situated on the ground floor with ample natural day light & both rooms have their own individually air conditioning units.

The suite is licensed for weddings & majority of weekends plays host to birthday, anniversary or wedding celebrations.

With its flexible capacities this room is ideal for conferences wanting space adjoining but separate for catering or exhibition purposes - Located next door to the hotel restaurant its ideally placed for day conferences.
