The Merlin Suite is our largest conference facility, comprising of two rooms that can be used together or hired independently and benefits from its own entrance foyer.

There are exclusive cloakroom facilities within the suite. Vehicle access for conference and exhibition set-up is also possible through Merlin One. The perfect setting for your event whether it’s a conference, seminar, trade exhibition, dinner function or corporate hospitality event.

The Meadows Suite comprises of two rooms; ideal for smaller meetings, break out or group sessions.

Light and airy, with natural daylight, they benefit from air conditioning and soundproofing as well as an independent foyer and toilets. There is also direct access to the Museum exhibition halls. Situated on the first floor the rooms can be used independently, or as one large room simply by opening the moveable wall which has been specially designed to ensure acoustic integrity.

Located on the ground floor and facing the outdoor terrace, the Napier Suite offers a modern, relaxed space for smaller meetings or training sessions. The room benefits from plenty of natural light and excellent access to the Museum facilities.

The Paddock is a prominent outdoor enclosed space ideal for showcasing or as an extension to your event. Large enough to host up 75 cars with ease, with access to outdoor power and water.

This space is located on the Basement level and has its own bar, which you can have staffed for your event.

This room can hold up to 40 guests seated or 70 standing. Please note that there is no disabled access to this room.

There is no hire cost to use this area, we just ask that you meet a minimum spend. This can be confirmed upon enquiry.

The Kingwell Room is an excellent conference room or party room for business events in Somerset. Ensure that your corporate event is a success by taking advantage of Wincanton’s facilities designed for client entertainment.

A naturally lit space which, during the racing calendar, serves the purpose of accommodating the winning connections after a race.

Outside of racing, The Directors Suite can be used for a drinks reception or a smaller meeting for colleagues or clients with complimentary flip charts and screen. Wi-Fi access and parking are complimentary, and an overhead projector is a further perk.

A comfortable and stylish conference room overlooking the racecourse & winning post. It provides flexible accommodation which can seat up to 120 delegates.

Wincanton Racecourse has a total of 12 breakout rooms available for 5-12 people.

The rooms can be hired on a room only basis or we can tailor a delegate package to suit your requirements. Each breakout room can be used in a variety of seating configurations for discussion groups, board meetings and workshops.

Our Penthouse is one of the most unique spaces in the South West. Offering indoor and outdoor seating, 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside and a British Colonial inspired decor that is both comfortable and chic.

The room includes a state-of-the-art audio-visual system with 55" built-in flat screen smart TV, bluetooth audio and surround sound. Your guests will be fully immersed, giving your presentations more impact.

The room also features its own comfortable breakout area with sofas, fitted bar and tea and coffee making facilities so you can take a break without disrupting your meeting or presentation.

And, when the sun is shining, you'll also benefit from the beautiful, French garden inspired, roof terrance which offers panoramic views across the town centre as well as the surrounding Quantock and Blackdown Hills.

As part of the Meadows Suite, the boardroom benefits from natural daylight, making it an ideal space for meetings, syndicate sessions or interviews. The room has the option to be used independently or as part of Meadows.

Includes a glamorous pre-dinner drinks reception against the backdrop of one the Museum’s exclusive exhibitions. The Red Room exhibition is available to book as part of your event.

Availability is limited and by private arrangement. Filled with some of our most popular cars all in red, the Red Room really will give your guests something to talk about. The perfect venue for drinks and canapés.

Originally the private chapel for this impressive building, the Avon Room is located on the first-floor and features a dance floor and private kitchen. It’s a marvellous suite, ideal for weddings, conferences and large celebrations for up to 130 people.

The Kennet, adjacent to the Avon Room, can be used in conjunction with the Avon as a reception area or separately as a venue for meetings, smaller weddings or private dining. It’s a smart, compact space with elegant furnishings and, for those who love a mystery, there’s a hidden 'bookcase' bar.

The Admiralty Room is a warm, refined, wood-panelled setting, ideal for board meetings and private dining. The parquet floor and open fireplaces add to the ambiance of this splendid space.

The Morrison Room blends classic lines with the latest tech. Featuring a beautiful, long mahogany table with comfortable chairs, plus state-of-the-art video conferencing technology, the Morrison Room will easily accommodate up to 10 people.

We have three small unique lounge spaces available for private use. Ideal for interviewing or private consultations some with large open fireplaces.

The Studio is available for private hire and features a large bar and wooden flooring throughout. Ideal for groups, retreats, boot camps and workshops. Private entrance and toilet facilities.

Our largest function room situated on the ground floor of the Manor with stunning crystal chandeliers yet bathed in natural light. Doors lead out onto a stone terrace overlooking our beautiful gardens and woodland. This elegant room is ideal for various functions including Christmas parties, Wedding receptions, Dances, Meetings, Exhibitions and Events. With a large bar close by it’s ideal for entertaining.

The location itself is the last remaining building of Taunton Priory, which was founded in approximately 1120 and dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539.

Stragglers is a superb option for your event, meeting or conference.

Situated on the Ground floor of the Marcus Trescothick Pavilion, this exceptional room can be utilised as a drinks reception area for larger events or as a meeting or function room in its own right.

An intimate, charming space with elegant décor suited for smaller capacity dinners, parties and conferences. Floor to ceiling windows reveal panoramic views of the racecourse with doors that open out onto the balcony.

The Royal Crescent is modern, spacious and light. The large, carpeted floor space is ideal for conferences, banqueting and wedding fairs. In addition, the balcony provides views of the landscape so your guests can spill out for extra breathing space.

We have a set of nine suites with balconies, ideal for holding smaller meetings or breakout groups. All in a light, modern décor with lovely views. Take as many as you need.

This functional suite offers a sizeable space suitable for a number of events. Complete with access to the Beaufort Suite, as well as a champagne lawn accompanying a patio with outdoor seating and parasols. This flexible space has a lot to offer.

On ground level, the 1811 Bar provides the solution for a registration or reception area for welcoming your delegates. Similarly, this could double as a break out space or buffet area, separate from the upstairs exhibition spaces if you desired.

Our rooftop terrace underneath an iconic sail canopy is perfect for networking, receptions and summer parties. Whether you want al-fresco dining or an inspiring space for informal drinks where up to 200 guests can mingle freely, this is one of the course’s most coveted areas.

This beautiful glass-fronted marquee boasts views that span out to the parade ring, with a champagne lawn for guests to traipse out onto. It’s looks are matched only by its functionality as this space can host hundreds of guests and split into multiple sections, making it adaptable for any event. From exhibitions with different sectors or conferences with different workshops, this picturesque space can work uniquely for your event.

This has all the charm of a traditional bar but the flexibility to accommodate theatre, cabaret or reception styles of up to 100 guests.

Our air-conditioned AgustaWestland conference room is situated within Hall One of the Museum where the story of Naval Aviation is told from its birth in 1909 to the modern day. Eight aircraft are on display including a replica 1911 Short S27: the remains of the first aircraft to have taken part in a Naval battle - the Short 184 built by Westland in 1916: and the first helicopter built by Westland – the Dragonfly. During coffee and break-out sessions, delegates are welcome to walk amongst the exhibits and aircraft

Concorde 002 is the first British prototype Concorde. Its maiden flight was from Filton, Bristol on 9th April 1969 and it went on to make 439 flights. Its last flight was made on 4th March 1976 when it was flown from Fairford to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton by the legendary test pilot Brian Trubshaw. In addition to Concorde, the Exhibition Hall is home to other unique or rare aircraft including the Fairey Delta 2, winner of the World Air Speed Record in 1956 and the first aircraft to fly at more than 1000mph, the Handley Page 115, Westland Wyvern and more. The area underneath and around Concorde can be arranged in a bespoke manner to suit your needs with tables, chairs, staging etc. as required.

Your guests will be transported from the pioneer years of the First World War, all the way to the modern HMS Queen Elizabeth class carriers of today. With the rare opportunity to get up close to some of the world’s most renowned aircraft on the carrier flight deck and get a sense of where it all began with the Sopwith Pup, the first aircraft to land on board a moving ship, through 100 years of other naval aircraft types, the Flight Deck provides a truly unique setting for events.

Our Swordfish Centre is away from the main Museum building and boasts its own vehicular and pedestrian access. It is a practical, accessible self-contained, purpose-built building, allowing it to be themed and tailored to the needs of each individual client. The Swordfish Centre has its own entrance and toilet facilities, and we can provide a dance floor and/or a stage. It is ideally suited for larger meetings, conferences and trade shows, auctions, wedding receptions and parties.

The Beacon Room is available for hire for smaller events or meetings. It has a maximum capacity of 48 persons when just dancing is taking place, 24 persons when a mixture of seating and dancing is taking place and 20 for seated functions with 20 guests.
