Venues in Portsmouth
You’d be hard-pressed to label Portsmouth, Hampshire as yet another identikit south coast city. A rich history and unique culture sets the waterfront city miles ahead of its peers in terms of scenery, transport, shopping, business, sport and more, making it a top destination for business meetings and conferences. However, that’s not to say the only way to get to the waterfront city is via a navy submarine. The city has excellent transport links to all of its resorts and districts, with plethora of train stations, ferries and buses that can take passengers in and around the area, giving easy access to meeting venues across the board. Those who are driving to the island city can take the M275 road off the M27 to land right in the beating heart of the city. For those getting the train, there are a number of stations that you can stop at, each with its own little slice of Portsmouth to explore. If travelling down from London, there are regular trains departing from Waterloo to the big three Portsmouth stations – Fratton, Portsmouth & Southsea and Portsmouth Harbour – and the vast majority of journeys clock in at less than two hours, making Portsmouth the ideal destination for a quick conference.
