Our South Kensington Campus is suitable for a variety of activities, to include: awards nights, private dining, exhibitions, product launches, team building, photography and filming - as well as uniquely equipped to handle sporting events.

Imperial Venues has worked with Visit Britain "WE'RE GOOD TO GO" and achieved the Industry Standard mark.

Highlighted venues and event spaces

  • 170 Queen’s Gate: A Grade II listed townhouse with four stunning rooms and a private courtyard garden.
  • The Sherfield Building: The Great Hall is the largest venue providing tiered seating for 758 and the exhibition space to 570 sqm. Queen’s Tower rooms are often used in conjunction and offer a contemporary space overlooking the Queen’s Lawn and Tower ideal for exhibitions, dinners and receptions for 620 guests. This room can also be separated into three smaller breakout spaces.
  • The City and Guilds Building: A modern suite of ten meeting rooms for up to 65 delegates and lecture theatres. It also benefits from a dedicated mezzanine.
  • Royal School of Mines: The third floor can be hired exclusively if required. The ground floor also boasts an impressive reception area with original staircase and period features; its entrance is conveniently accessible from Prince Consort Road.

  • Accommodation: 1,900 single, twin and double bedrooms with either en-suite or shared bathroom facilities are available in Central London. Rooms can be offered on a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis. 
  • Catering: Menus have been carefully crafted to suit a range of tastes and budgets, but if you’re looking for something with a difference, the talented team of chefs can design a bespoke, mouth-watering and memorable menu for you.
  • Audio-visual: An in-house facilities and dedicated staff can provide bespoke state of the art AV services to ensure your event runs successfully. Complimentary Sky cloud Wi-Fi is available across all venues.
  • Event planning and management: The professional and friendly support team can help you organise and deliver your event 
  • Virtual tours: Imperial Venues have a growing selection of virtual tours. They welcome you to immerse yourself in our modern and historic venues spaces to explore cavernous auditoriums and cosy meeting spaces.

The Sherfield Building - Seminar and Learning Centre

The Seminar and Learning Centre offers ten modern meeting rooms in South Kensington for between 10 and 65 delegates. With a variety of room sizes and layouts, its staffed reception and mezzanine breakout area, the Seminar and Learning Centre is suitable for meetings, small conferences and seminars.

The Sherfield Building - The Great Hall

Imperial's single largest venue, The Great Hall is a flexible, multi-purpose space. Retractable seating provides a variety of flat floor and tiered seating options for conferences with each seat enjoying an uninterrupted line of vision. The Great Hall is ideal for large conferences, corporate meetings or AGMs and exhibitions.

The Sherfield Building - The Queen's Tower Rooms

The Queen’s Tower Rooms is one of our most extensive and adaptable spaces. Floor to ceiling windows overlooks the Queen’s Lawn and Imperial’s iconic Queen’s Tower, creating a light and airy space for guests to enjoy. This spacious venue can accommodate up to 640 guests, making it perfect for conferences and exhibitions.

The Sherfield Building - Senior Common Room

The Senior Common Room is a large and adaptable venue in South Kensington suitable for drinks receptions and seated dinners of up to 400 guests.

170 Queen’s Gate - The Courtyard Garden

The beautiful Courtyard Garden at 170 Queen’s Gate is a rare find in central London. The idyllic space, designed by English landscape architect Dame Sylvia Crowe, is a perfect outdoor venue in London for drinks receptions, and parties. The garden is also available to use in conjunction with the Solar Room, which leads directly to the garden through the sweeping staircase and French doors.

The Council Room is the largest space at 170 Queen’s Gate offering restored period features with an ornate ceiling and centrepiece chandelier. This elegant London event venue is a versatile space, ideal for meetings, small conferences, dinners and drinks receptions for up to 90 guests.

The Drawing Room at 170 Queen’s Gate is a small and stylish London venue, perfect for conferences and meetings accommodating up to 50 guests. Large sash windows and neutral decor offer a light and airy space that can be booked in conjunction with the other rooms at 170 Queen’s Gate.
