CHS Birmingham Promises the Warmest Wellbeing Welcome for 2025

CHS Birmingham is practicing what it preaches this year with a series of initiatives that put delegate welfare first. The show returns to ICC Birmingham, 28th October 2025, and, following a number of powerful sessions at the group’s CHS Leeds show earlier this year, the team has embedding clever safety and inclusion measures into every stage of the visitor journey. “We attend all our educational sessions at the show. We’re like everyone else, we want to learn, improve, and implement new ideas into our visitor experience, and welfare is critical to who we are as an event,” commented Michelle Rennoldson, Event Director, CHS Birmingham. “This year we’ve really looked at every aspect of our show and tried to put in places ideas that just make it a nicer, more welcoming and safer place to be.” Drawing directly on delegate and speaker insights, CHS has implemented a series of initiatives designed to make the experience safer, more inclusive and less stressful: Dedicated CHS contact number, on all event materials and signage Meet & greet desk, for solo arrivals at the Welcome Reception Staff-supported arrival, for delegates who request it “Bring Your Industry Bestie” initiative, to ease solo travel anxiety Comprehensive pre-event communication, including clear safety and transport guidance Flexible networking formats, to suit different comfort levels Wellbeing room, for anyone needing time out from the show floor Each of the measures are underpinned by a simple principle: behind every badge is an individual with unique needs and expectations. “Our industry thrives when people feel comfortable, valued and safe,” added Michelle. “We’re proud to lead by example in Birmingham, showing how thoughtful design and clear communication can create an environment where everyone can focus on connection and content.” CHS Birmingham will continue to offer fresh ideas with world-class venues and suppliers, speaking to leading event planners and agency brands, in an environment designed with delegate experience front of mind.

CHS and beam grow partnership to welcome industry newcomers at CHS Birmingham this October

CHS Group is once again partnering with beam, the association representing the business events, accommodation, and meetings industry, to continue their joint mission of supporting newcomers to the industry. Building on the success of their collaboration earlier this year, the initiative is returning for CHS Birmingham this October with even more ways to make first-time visitors feel welcomed, connected, and confident. This year, attendees registering for CHS Birmingham will be able to opt in for a free ‘beam Buddy’ - a chance to be paired with a beam-approved industry professional. The Buddy System will help visitors: Navigate the show with confidence. Get the insider tips you won’t find in the show guide. Meet the right people - genuine introductions, not just business card swaps. Feel more comfortable networking, whether they’re brand new, flying solo, or switching roles. The initiative kicks off the night before CHS Birmingham at the pre-event drinks reception at Sandbox VR, where beam representatives will be in attendance. Those who’ve registered for a beam Buddy will be identifiable by beam representatives, making it easy for them to network and be introduced to others even before the main event begins.A beam Buddy Station will be positioned near registration at CHS Birmingham, where members of the beam board will be on hand to greet attendees, answer questions, and help newcomers connect with the right exhibitors and peers.David Tremmil, beam vice chair, said: “Walking into a big event for the first time can be daunting, but with a friendly guide at your side, the experience becomes energising instead of overwhelming. Our partnership with CHS is growing stronger with every event, and we’re proud to be making the industry even more open, welcoming, and accessible to new talent.”Michelle Rennoldson, event director at CHS, added: “CHS Birmingham is shaping up to be one of our most exciting shows yet, and with more first-time visitors joining us, the buddy system is the perfect way to make sure they get the very best from the experience. We’re delighted to be working with beam again to create opportunities for learning, connection, and confidence building across our industry.”The Buddy System if perfect for anyone who is: New to CHS or the events industry. Attending alone and wanting to meet people. Looking for new contacts after switching jobs. Simply wanting to feel less awkward about networking.
