Destination Spotlight: Liverpool

Liverpool will forever be identified with The Beatles, its most famous sons. It’s true, Liverpool is the place to come if you’re looking to get closer to the ‘fab four’, but this illustrious city offers much more to entertain, enthrall and inspire. It’s the perfect choice for urban exploration on foot, with a broad mix of attractions, events, sport venues, and, of course, that famously warm ‘Scouse’ welcome.

Beyond its unrivalled musical heritage, Liverpool has one of the world’s most recognised skylines centered around the ‘three graces’ - the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool building, a UNESCO World Heritage site, on the banks of the soulful River Medway.

Venture onto the Liverpool Waterfront for a host of attractions. The Tate Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum contribute to Liverpool’s boast of having one of the country’s finest collections of museums, galleries and theaters. The Albert Dock - rich in heritage - has the UK’s biggest grouping of grade 1 listed buildings. And here, you’ll also discover The Beatles Story, take a riverside walk or catch a ferry across the Mersey.

As an international city, Liverpool offers every dining experience, from romantic fine dining restaurants, gastro pubs, lively bars and bistros and family eateries.
