With sparkling chandeliers and stained glass windows, Aquam bibe 1 gives your event an added sense of occasion. Arranged for dining, presentations or board-style meetings, this light and airy room with large original windows facing the Gorge is as prestigious as they come.

Situated on the first floor, The Great Room forms the centrepiece of the hotel. Dating back from 1790 it provides a feeling of spacious, luxurious exclusivity.

The Great Room is comprised of a large function space with three separate breakout areas; either to be used to enlarge the space further or as syndicate areas. In addition The Great Room has a large foyer; perfect for registration and casual meeting space, seated lounge, three wash rooms and private bar. Within the Great Room foyer is another smaller meeting room, The View, which boasts a perfect setting for a private office or interview space. On the same level is The Snug and The Landing which features their own private foyer ensuring break out space is within proximity to The Great Room for the larger events.

The Drawing Room, which is at ground level, can accommodate up to 100 guests on round tables and 160 for informal receptions.

With a contemporary, fresh feel and an exquisite finish it has its own bar and dancefloor and has easy access to the private outdoor terrace, landscaped gardens and gazebo.

With one side of the room made up of floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, natural light is plentiful and the seated terrace outside the room boasts glorious views across the valley.

It is ideal for all medium sized conferences, meetings, dinners and receptions.

Seating up to 40 guests on round tables and up to 120 for an informal reception, the Master Room is perfect for a small party, wedding ceremony or conference. A light and spacious room with a private bar, it provides access to the outside balcony when hired in conjunction with The Box Room.

Situated on the third floor in the period part of the house, when combined with both the Turret Room and Box Room creates The Master’s Suite, three beautiful rooms that provides a versatile, light and spacious feel.

The Turret Room with a lovely Gothic bay window and great for meetings for up to 20 boardroom.

The Master Room, seating up to 50 theatre style with stunning chandeliers and its own private bar.

The Box Room with a capacity of 20 theatre style and stairs leading out onto a grassed balcony with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.

Individually as The Master Room or as a whole as the Master’s Suite, it is perfect for medium to small conferences, receptions, press launches, luncheons and dinners from 15 to 50 delegates.

The Cowshed is named after the original building which stood in its place as part of the 18th Century House. It is now a modern room perfect for small to medium-sized meetings seating up to 60 guests in a theatre style set up.

Set on the ground floor with close proximity to the Great Room but as a separate self-contained room, The Cowshed is fully air-conditioned, boasts lots of natural light and has its own private coffee room. The Cowshed comes fitted with a wall mounted, flat plasma screen which connects directly to laptops.

As a private room with direct access to the landscaped grounds and car parks, it is ideal for conferences, meetings, exams and as a larger breakout space.

Screen capacities range from 64 seats to 322 seats.

This space is located on the ground floor and can hold up to 20 guests for a sit-down meal or 30 guests for a standing event. The Peacock room doesn’t have its own bar, but we offer full table service for seated parties, or guests can pop to the main bar which is just outside the room.

The space is on the ground floor, and fully accessible.

To hire the Peacock room, there is no hire cost, we just ask that you meet a minimum spend. This is available upon enquiry.

With its own bar, live music stage, natural lighting, and a mix of booth and table seating, Bar 1 is ideal for private parties, corporate events, Christmas parties, networking events, team gatherings, and celebrations of all kinds. There’s space for entertainment, a raised area for group seating, and direct access to the outdoor smoking area

Welcome to Bar 2 at Barbara’s Bier Haus – where the party levels up. Located on the first floor, this space is built for bigger celebrations, with plenty of seating, a dancefloor, DJ booth, and a bar – ideal for birthdays, corporate events, Christmas parties, post-conference parties, team get togethers and big nights out.

The Clifton suite is conveniently located on the ground floor and seats 30 people theatre-style. This suite is ideal for training sessions, team briefings and executive board meetings.

The Devon suite is a purpose built, medium sized room seating up to 60 people theatre-style, and also suitable for a range of other set ups such as classroom, u-shape, and boardroom.

It is conveniently located on the mezzanine level close to all the hotels amenities. This room is ideal for meetings, training and syndicate space.

The Duchess suite is a large, versatile space which can be divided in to smaller areas as required.

The Marlborough suite is a beautiful medium sized, room with seating up to 100 people theatre-style, and also suitable for a range of other set ups such as classroom, u-shape, and boardroom.

The suite benefits from full air conditioning as well as stunning views and plenty of natural light thanks to its large portrait windows which look out over Broad Street.

The room is furnished in a traditional elegant style which includes delicate Chrystal chandeliers and wall-mounted mirrors. Exhibitions, conferences, wedding/drinks receptions would all be perfect in here.

The Wessex Suite is the largest room at the hotel and is a fantastic classically designed and stylish space and would be a fantastic location for large conferences, exhibitions and gala dinners. Our largest room is Lombard, a simplistically rustic space with distinctive features such as the buildings original window arches and vaulted ceiling. It is situated on the second floor and comes with its own roof-top terrace and anteroom which is perfect for breakouts from your meeting.

Le Pin is an elaborately hand painted room inspired by the Austrian Art Nouveau artist Gustav Klimt and is a flexible space.

Lanson, our most intimate room is situated adjacent to the bistro. Ideal for making a great impression and creating impact for the smaller group of up to 12 people.

The Christie's Library and Janneau Bar can be used as a great area for meetings, private dinners, or drinks receptions. Our extensive selection of beverages and quirky character has the perfect atmosphere to top or tail your meeting or event.
