Nottingham is a thriving commercial city in the county of Nottinghamshire. It has bags to offer both corporate clients and private parties thanks to a plethora of conference venues, meeting rooms, party venues, function rooms, and team building venues, which are perfect for a variety of events. In 2010, it was voted one of the top ten cities to visit in the world, so it’s no wonder that events organisers have also named it a firm favourite. Another great thing about Nottingham is that the countryside is never far away, with plenty of team building activities on offer at the nearby Pennines and Sherwood Forest. As you’d expect from one of the largest cities in the East Midlands region, arriving at your chosen destination by plane, train, bus, or automobile is a doddle. If you’re flying in by air, East Midlands Airport lies directly south-west of the city, offering easy links to many UK and international destinations. There is also a half-hourly Skylink bus service which runs between the city centre and the airport daily. Also close by are Birmingham International and Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airports. Take the boredom out of driving and hop on a train direct from London St. Pancras to the city’s central station, or get a connecting from Derby, Birmingham, Leicester, Sheffield, Crewe, or Leeds. If you’re driving to the area, take the M1 northbound and leave at Junction 24/25, or Junction 25/26 on the southbound carriageway.
