Horseradish, the award winning catering and events division of Chester Race Company is pleased to announce a lucrative three year catering agreement with motorsport giant, Wales Rally GB, worth £350,000.
Horseradish will provide the hospitality offerings at each stage of the event, with bespoke packages including provision of temporary marquee structures, set-up, food and service for over 500 guests each year, beginning in 2016. Leeds welcomes the return of the UK’s largest Teacher Training event
3,000 delegates are joined by leading education and business professionals
For the third year running, Leeds Beckett University and the University of Leeds will host 3,000 delegates to the Teach First Summer Institute which sees their teachers attend a range of training sessions and events from 16 – 30 July.
As the biggest teacher training event in the UK, education charity Teach First will accommodate over 3,000 delegates from their 2015 and 2016 cohorts. The event brings together Teach First participants, university tutors along with education and business leaders across a two week period. Having been held in Leeds for the past three years, the conference has contributed a total investment of £8m to the city. Continue reading

Results from Sundial’s Learning and Development Survey found that nearly three-quarters of participants at training events want to escape the four

This September, The Wallace Collection presents a new, contemporary exhibition of the work of Tom Ellis. Horseradish Blooming After New Contract Wins
Horseradish Catering has secured contracts to deliver hospitality services to two of the North West’s leading summer events in the seasonal calendar; Royal Horticultural Society Flower Show Tatton Park and Southport Flower Show.
Attracting over 80,000 visitors to each site for events staged in July and August respectively, Horseradish Catering has been appointed to deliver all show hospitality for sponsors and VIP guests in attendance in 2016.
Over the 5-day event (staged from 20 – 24 July) in the picturesque grounds of Tatton Park, Horseradish Catering has been chosen by tender to deliver bespoke menus and offerings for sponsors and hospitality guests, as well as catering for 200 covers per day in the on-site restaurant where guests will enjoy tastes from the best of the region, including slow braised Vale of Clwyd beef and Goosnargh chicken, as well as afternoon tea. Whittlebury Hall supports Josh Webster at The British Grand Prix 2016
Porsche Scholar and Porsche Carrera Cup GB Champion, Josh Webster, will be racing in the Porsche Supercup race at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone this weekend.
He will be racing in one of two striking yellow and white liveried cars of the German Project 1 race team. This will be Josh’s first outing in a Porsche this season. There will be a 45 minute practice on Friday 8th July at 16.45 before a 30 minute qualifying session on Saturday morning at 11.25. The race will be on Sunday 10th July at 10.35.
Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa, a 4-star venue synonymous with motor racing is located next to the Silverstone Circuit and has enjoyed hosting Grand Prix teams, drivers and VIPs since opening in 1999. It is a big event on the UK motorsport calendar and Whittlebury Hall is proud to be one of Josh’s sponsors.
Well Met appoints new Conference and Events Officer, Samantha Gee
Samantha Gee joins Well Met Conferencing as Conference and Events Officer, having previously attended Leeds Beckett University for her degree in Managing Cultural and Major Events (BA) hons.
Samantha’s career in conferencing started at the tender age of 16, working at Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa in Leeds in the restaurant before moving on to host weddings which is where her love for events began. On completion of her degree, Samantha was promoted to Senior Conference Co-ordinator at Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa, having previously dabbled in front of house reservations. However, her experience isn’t tied solely to the hotel industry, honing her skills at the Rugby Football League’s annual Dacia Magic Weekend and as a freelance Wedding Co-ordinator also.
