Sundial Group is celebrating after winning five awards at the 2014 Meeting and Incentive Travel (M&IT) Industry Awards, held in London on 25th February.
The M&IT Awards programme is the oldest in the meetings arena and sets the standard for the industry. With the awards decided entirely on thousands of customer votes, the result demonstrates how highly regarded Sundial are within the conference industry.
Family-owned and run, Sundial Group won Gold for ‘Best Venue Group Meeting Product’, beating off prestigious hotel group giants including Hilton Worldwide, Q Hotels, Mercure UK and De Vere Venues, in what is a highly competitive category. This is the fourth time the group has received this accolade in the past five years.
The largest of the Sundial venues, Highgate House in Northamptonshire, received three awards on the night; Silver for ‘Best Value for Money Conference Venue’ and Bronze for ‘Best UK Management Training Centre’ and ‘Best Conference and Banqueting Staff’.
Surrey based venue, Barnett Hill, also scooped a Bronze award for ‘Best Value for Money Conference Venue’.
The gala presentation dinner, held at Battersea Evolution in London, is the biggest night of the year for the meetings industry, and was attended by more than 1,000 industry professionals.
With five awards collected in total, Sundial Group was the most awarded of the night. This is also the highest ever number of accolades received in one awards programme for the group.
