This week CH&CO unveiled its refurbished event space, The Prince Albert Suite, at ZSL London Zoo. Esteemed event planners from Disney, Bloomberg, ASOS, Vodafone and the Premier League got a first look at the buzzing CH&CO party.
Inspired by the international conservation charity’s ethos, the 300-guest venue, features energy saving lights and natural materials throughout, including carpet recycled from discarded fishing nets.

NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau recognised as best in England
The NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau secured the accolade of silver at a prestigious international industry awards ceremony last week (Friday 1 March).
The team, part of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, won silver for ‘best UK Convention Bureau’ at the Meetings and Incentive Travel Industry Awards (M&IT) 2019.
Glasgow Convention Bureau won gold, meaning NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau can claim to be the best convention bureau in England, beating off stiff competition from many other UK cities including London who won bronze. Continue reading
LVP Reports Rise in Roadshows
6th March 18, UK: Lime Venue Portfolio (LVP) has seen a significant rise in roadshow events, according to its year on year data from 2018. The group has also seen more enquiries for roadshow events in the first 6 months of its 18/19 financial year, than in the whole of the previous 12 months, making it one of the most popular event types being booked in 2019.
The research indicates a growing opportunity for the industry to work with brands to encourage events that engage delegates more locally.

‘Native’ Wolves Return To The Woods Of Longleat
A pack of European wolves is settling in to its new woodland home at Longleat.
It’s the first time the species, which once roamed wild in the UK, has gone on public display at the Wiltshire safari park.
The eight-strong pack, which consists of mum Eliska, dad Jango and their six pups, moved into the Wolf Wood earlier this year and will be accessible to visitors during the February Half Term Holidays. Continue reading

Leaping Crocodiles Make A Splash At Longleat
A pair of Critically Endangered crocodiles, renowned for their ability to jump out of the water, is settling in to a new purpose-built semi-aquatic display at Longleat.
The female Cuban crocodiles, each measuring close to two metres in length, are among the newest arrivals at the Wiltshire attraction.
They’re sharing their new 80,000-litre home with shoals of freshwater fish and, it is hoped, dozens of exotic butterflies will soon be joining them in their tropical display. Continue reading
