Church House Westminster has welcomed a new member to its events team.
Sharnez Ritchie has joined the central London venue as an Event Coordinator, having previously worked for another venue in the capital. In her role, she will work across the event planning portfolio from taking enquiries to assisting with the running of client events.

Teach First at Well Met Conferencing
Teach First will return for the fourth consecutive year to Leeds on 31 July, with 3,000 trainee teachers and industry professionals arriving into the city through the main gateway of Leeds Train Station. Hosted by Well Met, the conferencing office at Leeds Beckett University, the ultimate week of Teach First’s five week Summer Institute training residential at the Rose Bowl, between 31 July – 4 August.
The UK’s foremost teacher training residential, which kicks off with the Teacher Development Conference on 31 July and 1 August, will see the whole 2017 cohort coming together in Leeds. Continue reading

Vintners’ Hall is offering complementary classical music to accompany events in November 2017.
The November Notes package has been created in partnership with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, who will provide the musicians.

Longleat’s plans to build a new 240 room hotel, with water park and business conference facilities on the edge of its Estate near Warminster have been approved by Wiltshire Council, subject to views of Highways England on the impact of the proposal to the strategic road network.
The approval provides a green light for the development which, it is anticipated, will further boost the local economy and create 300 new jobs, while providing much-needed additional family orientated hotel accommodation in the area. Continue reading

The motor racing action switches to two wheels at Rockingham this weekend (July 29/30) when the Northamptonshire circuit hosts one of the UK’s largest bike race series.
Now an annual date on the Rockingham race calendar, ThundersportGB is the most exciting and varied series in British motorcycle racing with nine different classes being contested over 34 races.
Tickets are £12 in advance with free entry for children aged 15 and under – so a family of four can enjoy a day’s racing for just £24! With qualifying plus 16 races on Saturday and a further 18 on Sunday, either day offers great value for money. Continue reading

Trio of Female Southern White Rhinos at Longleat Safari Park
Longleat is playing a vital role in a last ditch international race to save the world’s rarest rhino from extinction.
The northern white rhino (Ceratotherium simum cottoni), whose wild population was estimated in the thousands as recently as 1960, was virtually wiped out in the 2000s due to poaching.
Today only three individuals are left; an elderly male and two females. All three are kept under strict armed security at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya.
The last remaining male, Sudan, is now 43 years old and reaching the end of his life. Both surviving females have medical problems which prevent them from conceiving naturally. Continue reading
